Street artist Herr Nilsson created this awesome series that sheds a light on what could be the dark side of several Disney characters, were they in contact with the crude realities of the world.
Featuring Princesses in some of their most recognized poses rather than completely changing their body language? (notice how if it wasn't for the obvious twists, you wouldn't know the difference between these portraits and the school notebooks and lunch boxes we all grew up with)
His first set of portraits showed up in Stockholm, although now there are canvases for sale. Isn't the contrast between the colorful outfits, the smiling faces and the violence of the weaponry crazy? I find it fascinating!

If you don't already have a collection of dark Disney Princess artwork somewhere on your computer, I suggest you get one. For some reason, (perhaps the recent push for stronger female role models for girls, or perhaps because all the girls who grew up singing along with these princesses are now adults and have different opinions about the messages they received as kids) there are amazing and controversial works of art featuring these damsels in distress popping up on the internet on an almost daily basis.
