On one hand, it may seem like a "wink to the audience" that the animators put in films for their own amusement- this is the only aspect of this ridiculous phenomenon that i find acceptable. Because they can look back and say "Oh my god i put that in and it's so totally hilarious." And i am sure that to her, it is.
But there are people who literally spend hours looking for these- They call them Easter Eggs- even though they're nowhere near as fun as finding chocolate- just so they can take a bad picture of it and put it up on the internet where they are literally probably maybe already at least a hundred people who have already found and posted it.
WHY IS THIS A THING? The first time you see one you're like "Oh my goodness, I can't believe I never noticed that, I've seen that movie 392 times!" By the second one you're over it- then, like me, by the third one you're actually kind of angry.
