Here is a list of some of the ridiculous behaviors of Disney princesses (and other characters) that for some reason we accepted as being normal when we watched the movie, but if people acted this way in real life, we would, at very least, be put in the loony bin.
I get that most Disney characters are exaggerated when it comes to their emotions- people fall in love IMMEDIATELY, witches want to kill young women for being prettier than them and there seems to be no problem with 15 year old girls marrying 21 year old boys.

Ariel: Body Dysmorphic Disorder. This girl has some serious body image problems, possibly even body dysmorphic disorder. This is a condition that makes you hate your body and go through extreme changes. It is believed that Michael Jackson suffered from this as well. She got what is essentially risky plastic surgery to be human- completely forgetting that being a mermaid princess is like a thousand times better than being a normal human girl. (Oh, right, Eric has money...at least she doesn't have to get a part time job)
Don't even get me started on her kleptomania and hoarding.

Rapunzel: Agoraphobia. This girl literally will not step foot outside her home way up in a tower- not just because her crazy fake-kidnap-witch mother says not to, but because she is terrified of the world outside. Luckily, she was cured of her disease in the course of the film by falling in love with literally THE FIRST MAN SHE MEETS.
Gaston: Narcissistic Personality Disorder, Misogyny. Normally, when someone is obsessed with themselves, we say they are pretty narcissistic. Gaston, however, definitely has the most extreme for of the condition- it is actually becoming a psychological problem. Misogynists also think women are inferior and try to control them.
He is not only constantly looking at himself in the mirror, but he also is so selfish that he is telling all the girls in town what to do- he is baffled when Belle won't marry him simply because he tells her to. How dare she?!
